HAIR DISEASES

Hair loss has many different causes. According to the degree of frequency;

  • Male pattern hair loss (Androgenetic Alopecia); although the frequency is not fully recorded, it is seen 100% in white races.
  • Diffuse Alopecia; it is a general hair loss that takes place all over the scalp. It is not usually noticed until a serious shedding occurs. Diffuse Alopecia can develop in many different shapes. This type of shedding can be continuous and condense over many years.
  • Traction Alopecia; Traction alopecia is hair loss caused by tightly pulled hairstyles. Caught early, it is fully reversible and the hair can regrow. Over time, however, hair follicles can become irreversibly damaged so that the hair does not regrow
  • Alopecia Areata; it takes place in the form of small circular blanks without any indication. Sometimes it causes hair loss in the entire crown area. Also; it is defined as a disease that does not contain the scar tissue that all the individuals, regardless of age, may encounter.
  • Cicatricial Alopecia;  is a common cause of progressive permanent apical alopecia. This unique form of alopecia includes entities previously known as “hot comb alopecia,” “follicular degeneration syndrome,” “pseudopelade” in African Americans and “central elliptical pseudopelade” in Caucasians. The etiology appears to be multifactorial and the condition occurs in all races.
  • Traumatic Alopecia; It occurs as a result of various physical injuries. It can be chronic or transient.
  • Infection and infestation; it occurs as a result of the hair being deeply damaged by various microorganisms and pediculoses. This type of spill is caused by a specific cause.
  • Hereditary Alopecia; This type of shedding can be caused by various hereditary diseases or complications during delivery.
  • Skin disorders like psoriasis can cause hair loss. The causes of hair loss other than those mentioned are generally; Stress, thyroid, zinc and iron deficiency, infection, general anesthesia, diabetes, vitamin A deficiency and chemotherapy.
