History of Hair Transplantation
Hair transplantation is the process of transferring hair follicles taken from the person's hairy area to the balding area. While it was first implemented for the results of male pattern hair loss, today it is also used for many women. In this application, the grafts collected are taken from the area genetically coded not to shed. Grafts collected from the donor area can be used in hair transplantation as well as in eyelash, eyebrow, sideburn, beard and mustache area transplantation.
There are 1 to 4 hair strands in a graft. For this reason, it is called follicular unit transplantation. Thanks to modern techniques, it is possible to achieve natural hair structure.
