Scar Tissue Transplantation
Scar Tissue; These are the tissues referred to as repair tissues. These tissues are the areas where cells come together to repair stitch marks after accidents, wounds, burns and surgery and where blood flow is less than other tissues. In scar tissue transplantation, the area should be analyzed very well. Since scar tissues are worn out compared to normal tissues, fat injection may be required before the operation. If needed for the analyzed area, transplantation after fat injection makes the procedure more efficient. If there is no need for fat injection, the appropriate method is determined by the specialist if the area to be transplanted has swelling, dimpling or crushing of the tissue. Considering these situations, the appropriate procedure should be performed according to the thickness of the tissue and the structure of the grafts. The duration and waste rate of the procedure may vary according to mild or severe traumatic areas. Scar tissue transplantation does not provide healing of scar tissue, this procedure is applied to camouflage the scar tissue.
